Okay, so we have 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s, or 5, or whatever its moniker eventually tells us it’s called. As I sit here writing this post, I am typing away on my iMac while I simultaneously render out some graphics on my MacBook Pro, my better half is watching a movie on our LCD hooked up to a Mac Mini and I have an iPhone sitting next to me. That doesn’t even represent all the Apple products I own but nonetheless I think you get the idea that I am far from an Apple hater. That said I’m not a fanboy either, but I am someone with 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s. Are you seeing a pattern here?

Why is there even a need to have 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s?

Apple charges a premium for their products, and their industrial design is beyond reproach. They are known for being innovative and ahead of the curve in features and they are the past masters at blending software with hardware. There is not another company on the planet that can pull all that together and market it to you with a reality warp spin that builds desire in the most critical people. With all that said, Android is looking more attractive by the day and rumors emanating from Cupertino suggest Apple may fall behind with its next iteration of the iPhone, and if so I may just drift over to a certain Samsung super phone. Apple, people expect more and that’s why we all need 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s.

So here it is, 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s

1. Developers may switch ships.

Developers don’t need 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s. To them it’s all about the bottom line and this Digital Wallet malarky is going to sell a lot of apps as the world goes NFC crazy.

2. With a refresh cycle three months later than usual, Apple fans expect more.

Why the wait if the new iPhone isn’t going to have the good stuff we all want from our favorite smartphone?

3. Google has released its Google Wallet and has a definite head start.

Google has launched first, it has the head start and it is doing amazing things with its Android OS. If Apple gives Google another year to get ahead, we may not even need 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s, 5, 6 or 7.

4. Rumors say the new iPhone 4s / 5 will not be available with LTE so missing out on NFC could cost Apple.

If LTE isn’t happening because the low power chips aren’t going to be ready in time, people will accept it. They will feel they are missing out as they sign another two year contract but Apple will probably still sell a boat load of iPhones because we trust Apple when it comes to battery power. However the NXP chips are readily available, no excuses!

5. The iPhone now competes in a different competitive landscape than it used to.

Early adopters of the iPhone will remember walking around a mall and being heckled by a cell phone sales person and when you pulled out your iPhone, there was nothing more to say. The sales person shriveled and just complimented your phone. That isn’t the case anymore, if it was our 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s would be irrelevant. There are now just as, or more capable phones on the market.

6. The Samsung Galaxy S II.

It is just one of the impending contenders to the iPhones crown. We already know an NFC version is coming and we will probably see “Big Red” pick up a LTE variant. Apple shouldn’t need 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s, that one should scare them enough.

7. Antenna gate.

Whether correct or not, it tarnished the impeccable rep the digital fruit maker has enjoyed. The next iPhone needs to be extra special so we no longer worry about 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s.

8. If Apple waits until next year, many contracts that end in the mean time will likely switch to Android if they value NFC.

If your contract ends at the back end of this year or the beginning of next are you really going to sign on for another two years when you could pick up an NFC-enabled smartphone straight away? 10 reasons why Apple should include NFC in the iPhone 4s? 9. Because they are Apple and should exceed out expectations and change everything again!
