Canadians can Pre-order their brand new sparkly NFC Samsung Galaxy S II LTE on Rogers now today

We reported that Canada folk would get their hands on an NFC Samsung Galaxy S II courtesy of Rogers and today the mobile network operator came through with a pre-order form for the legendary phone with a touch of LTE 4G goodness. However, we should warn you that they want you to put some skin in the game if you are going to order this beast and they want $40 up front. We posted the details straight from the Rogers site directly below.

“A refundable fee of $40 (plus applicable taxes) is required for reservation prior to device pickup. The fee will be refunded in case of cancellation of reservation or when the device is shipped out from Rogers warehouses. LTE Rocket™ stick reservations will be released when LTE expands beyond Ottawa to include Toronto by end of September. Reservations for other Rogers LTE devices will be released once the products launch nationally and you will receive notification that your device is ready for pickup at the store you selected for delivery when you initially reserved online.”

Rogers NFC Samsung Galaxy S II Specifications

This is by no means a full listing of  the NFC Samsung Galaxy S II LTE features, but the Rogers site does at least show that the earlier reports regarding the NFC Samsung Galaxy S II LTE smartphone screen size were inaccurate and that it does in fact come with that gorgeous 4.5-inch display.

  • AWS for connectivity on the Rogers LTE network
  • Tri-band HSPA+/Quad-band EDGE for connectivity on the Rogers 4G HSPA+ network and international roaming
  • Dual-core 1.2 GHz processor
  • 4.5” WVGA Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen (480×800)
  • Android 2.3 operating system
  • 1GB RAM; 16GB internal memory
  • 8MP rear camera with flash, 2MP front facing camera

Don’t expect to have the NFC Samsung Galaxy S II LTE phone in your pocket until the back-end of the autumn. Let us know in the comments if you have taken the plunge and pre-ordered your NFC Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and coughed up the $40 for the privilege – you’ll find your link to order here.
