NFC Rumor: T-Mobile to launch 5 more NFC phones this year

NFC Rumors has exclusively learned that T-Mobile USA has 5 – count them, 5! – more NFC phones that are due to be released before we say goodbye to 2011. This information comes from one of our trusted sources who has inside working knowledge of the T-Mobile roadmap and whereas details of the actual NFC phones may be a little light on the ground, you can take what we do know to the bank.

NFC Rumor Suggests 5 T-Mobile NFC Phones for 2011

Let’s start off with the obvious. The NFC Samsung Galaxy S II, dressed in pink and ready for the party, will launch on T-Mobile before you find yourself singing Auld Lang Syne badly. This is expected and not really going to stun anyone, but we can confirm it will be one of the five NFC phone sets hitting T-Mobile within the next four months.

Next NFC rumor on the block HTC. HTC will be releasing an NFC phone on T-mobile before the end of the year, and it’ll be a Windows Phone 7 device. This device is still a mystery and we are putting out our feelers to see what else we can learn about this mystery NFC phone.

However, it isn’t as if we haven’t heard of any NFC rumor regarding WP7 NFC phones. If you follow NFC Rumors on a regular basis, you will know we called out the Samsung Omnia W NFC phone a couple of weeks ago and we think this may be the phone in question. Specifications are light on the ground at the moment about this NFC phone, but we do know it’s a WP7 Mango NFC phone that will have a 3.7-inch display and skip along on a 1.4GHz processor. The Samsung Omnia W is rumored to have 512Mb of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera. We also brought you news about the Nokia 703, which has a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 LCD screen and a 5-megapixel camera that will capture video at 720p HD. The Nokia 703 slide we posted also suggested that the device will come with 8GB of onboard storage and a puny 512MB of RAM. Dimensions are shown to be 112 x 60.8 x 12.3mm.

Our people on the inside also shared with NFC Rumors that there would be two new Android phones. We are not sure whether the Samsung Galaxy S II is one of them, but from what we can tell it may not be included in the two addition NFC phones we are hearing about. No word on manufacturer, specs, release date or pricing but we wanted to bring you the news early anyway. Many pundits have speculated that we won’t really see any NFC phones until 2012, and NFC Rumors has been hearing different for some time now. However, this is the first time we have had insight into the NFC phone road map of a major carrier.

Lastly, we are hearing another NFC rumor that there is two more BlackBerry phones hitting T-Mobile before New Year’s. We can probably guess that these will be NFC phones. We already know about including the BlackBerry Bold 9790 Bellagio and one of the BlackBerry Curve Touch variants and probably the 9380.

T-Mobile NFC Rumor regarding Google Wallet

Another rumor that has come in to us suggests that we should not expect to see Google Wallet allowed on T-Mobile’s network as we feared. The Isis grip of death that restricts consumers or customers of Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile is appearing more real everyday. That’s all for T-Mobile NFC rumors right now, but we have more NFC Rumors heading your way soon.
