Another day, another NFC phone rears its head and this time it’s the Samsung SHV-E120L that has caught our eye. The team over at PocketNow spotted a post on a Korean website with specifications for the Samsung SHV-E120L NFC phone a couple of days ago. This new phone eerily echoes the specs of the LG LU6200 NFC phone and appears to be geared up to compete on a mano-y-mano basis. Samsung is finally embracing NFC in more and more models and the Samsung SHV-E120L is no exception. As more and more handset manufacturers are committing to NFC phones Samsung appears to becoming more competitive in every market segment and doesn’t look like it’s about to give any advantage away to competitors.

Samsung SHV-E120L specifications
The Samsung SHV-E120L may not have the sexiest name but it does have some nice features that will certainly earn it a place in the Korean market. It rocks a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and Adreno 220 GPU which should keep Android 2.3.5 happily whirring away. A massive 4.7-inch (1280 x 720) WXGA HD display will adorn the front of this little beast. It even features a 2-megapixel camera up front which beats out LG’s NFC phone offering and has the by now expected 8-megapixel shooter on the back. All this is backed up with the obligatory 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Of course the fun doesn’t stop there for the still rumored Samsung SHV-E120L. It will speed along on some cool LTE waves. In fact, those LTE capabilities are reported to come from a MDM9600 Gobi chipset which could mean a tri-mode LTE, HSPA and CDMA compatibility, or what we like to call a world NFC phone. Other Samsung SHV-E120L NFC phone features include WiFi b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and an 1,850mAh battery that should keep you sparked up all day long. Beggars can’t be choosers and what we would have loved to have seen was the Samsung SHV-E120L NFC phone with an easier to type name.
We have no pricing details at the moment and we have no idea whether we will see this phone Stateside or in Europe, but the Samsung SHV-E120L is going to be a giant among Android NFC phones when it hits Korea later this month.
