Whether you are an NFC developer, product manufacturer, merchant, or other service provider, you will need to mark your calendar for the first WIMA NFC USA event taking place in San Francisco November 30 – December 1. WIMA NFC USA seeks to bring the global NFC community together for a 2-day conference showcasing near field communications technology being developed in all parts of the world. The NFC-only conference has been a mainstay in Monaco in the past, and this year marks the first time the WIMA NFC USA Applications Products and Services Congress brings the event to the US. Check out the event schedule by clicking here.
WIMA NFC USA hosts interactive panels for developers and industry experts to join forces in the NFC (r)evolution.
The demo area will run full days on each day of the conference, which allow for some sneak peeks into some emerging NFC products and services. As far as the speaking engagements go, we know that we can expect to see some talk about NFC integration in a multitude of industries, including health care, event management, marketing & advertising, social media, gaming, access control, ticketing and, of course, retails. In fact, we have noticed that while there are plenty of topics slated for mobile wallet and contactless payments, WIMA has also shared that the future of NFC isn’t just in ticketing and payments. Several use cases are expected to be demonstrated at the event, and we hope to see some new and thought provoking concepts for implementing near field communications.
We know that NFC goes beyond the goal of easing your way through a check out line, and we are looking forward to witnessing the NFC cleverness that no doubt will make several guest appearance during this event.
