It’s been out a few weeks and Google has already started updating its Google Wallet app. The latest and greatest version brings some fixes and new features so you can better see what you are spending.
Google Wallet update list
What’s in this version of Google Wallet:
- Find new offers directly in Wallet
- Updated transaction detail screen (for Tap & Pay and in Transaction History)
- Merchant name and amount now available for Google Prepaid Card purchases
- Improved button to turn your cards on and off
- Five minute default PIN timeout for new users
- An improved tutorial
- Account Number validation for some gift cards
- Bug fixes
Google is going to great efforts to market its Google Wallet including adding a $10 balance for new activations and a big promotion with American Eagle in Times Square that we reported on yesterday. One thing we are unsure of is whether the new update prevents the Google Wallet from being activated on Nexus S phones on other networks. If you are currently using Google Wallet, let us know how it is working out for you in the comments below.
