Samsung Galaxy Nexus Last minute rumors

There is always time for a few more Samsung Galaxy Nexus rumors, but if you want to watch it live don’t read this post because we are posting spoilers about the incumbent NFC Nexus phone. These rumors include release dates for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, accessories and benchmarks. Don’t say we didn’t warn you if you didn’t want to know. Okay, here goes.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus NFC phone release date

VZBuzz received an image showing the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus NFC phone, Rezound and DROID RAZR which are all due to happen on November 10th on Verizon. The image does say that the date is tentative though.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus benchmarks

Benchmarks for what is being stated as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus were submitted to GLBenchmark and picked up by MobileTechWorld earlier today. There is some suspicion surrounding these benchmarks, but it would have taken effort to fake them.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Accessories

Below you will find out that a drunken member of Cyanogenmod let loose some Samsung Galaxy Nexus rumors. The member of Cyanogenmod who wants to remain anonymous blurted out that there are new accessories coming with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus NFC phone. Included is a sliding keyboard dock, a kinetic recharger commonly seen with flashlights, and a car mount with a personal QR code projector. All of these Samsung Galaxy Nexus accessories are just rumored at the moment. In little under a couple of hours, we will know for sure.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus development rumors

Okay, let’s get to the meat of these rumors. Team Cyanogenmod have been working closely with Google on developing the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Last night one of the team members got drunk and decided to out a lot of details about the launch we previously didn’t know in a Google+ hangout of all places.

Russell Holly posted it on and we now know a little history behind the development of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus rumors. Shortly after Cyanogenmod were brought into the project, rumors started hitting the internet about the next Nexus device which was named the Nexus Prime. We can’t remember if it was BGR who named it the Nexus Prime or if that is what their sources told them. Either way we here at NFC Rumors actually prefer that name, but apparently team Cyanogenmod thought it was highly amusing that all of us bloggers started using the name as it was an internal joke.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus rumors just kept flying after that, including rumors that suggested that LG was going to be involved, claims that nVidia would be involved, and claims that it would be a Verizon Wireless exclusive, which was apparently just one more rumor than the team could bear. And so they went trolling online.

We actually posted about an anonymous tipster who rhymed out details about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Twitter, which you can find here. It now appears that this may have been a member of Cyanogenmod.

We don’t have long to wait now, but we seem to know a lot of details surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, including its Verizon price of $299 and the launch date of 10th November.
