Best Buy and Disney join the list for NFC payments USA

Best Buy and Walt Disney parks added to the list of speakers at NFC Payments USA

NFC Payments USA is shaping up to be a big affair for industry stakeholders with the addition of Best Buy and Walt Disney parks to the list of speakers. They join AT&T, Samsung, PayPal, Fifth Third Bank, Citigroup, American Express, ING DIRECT, Isis, Nokia, U.S. Bank, TD Bank, Rogers Communications and MasterCard. The conference will bring together 150 NFC experts in one location for the first time in US to discuss how the nascent industry is going to map out the best strategies for successful roll out of NFC payment services.

Helen Raff, General Manager of NFC Insight, said, “The addition of Best Buy and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts really tops off what is already a great event. By getting the merchants involved NFC Payments USA now features the entire NFC ecosystem. I’m really excited to have these speakers at the event and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say!”.

Whether you are a retailer, bank, near field communication service provider or anything in between, NFC Payments USA is a must

There is a great need for industry stakeholders to get together and shape the future shape of NFC services. Payments is just one aspect of an NFC roll out strategy, but it is arguably the most contentious. All analysts have projected that NFC industry stakeholders need to work together for NFC adoption to take off and perhaps NFC Payments USA will be the venue where partnerships are made and issues are overcome as experts get together. On November 2-3 in Miami, over 150 NFC experts will convene for NFC Payments USA, the first event in North America to focus on the commercial roll out of NFC.

“David Canora, Principal Technical Specialist for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, will also be participating in the conference, on a panel discussion entitled “Educating the Consumer – Getting it Right”. Canora will be joined by Dominic Venturo, Chief Innovation Officer for U.S. Bank Payment Systems and Todd Wilson, Business Integration Specialist for AT&T as they debate the best way to convey the benefits of NFC Payments to consumers – a key issue for the whole NFC ecosystem and a central theme of the conference.”

As you can see, many of the biggest names in the NFC industry will be on hand from every corner of the NFC ecosystem – from NFC phone manufacturers to NFC mobile wallet providers, all the way through to banking institutions, card issuers and retailers. If your company is planning on entering the NFC payments or services space, this conference could educate you about the issues you may face and give you ways to overcome issues.
