N-pass Mobile Technology announces dual SIM NFC phones

Chinese firm N-pass Mobile Technology, a subsidiary of Aisidi,  has announced that it is getting into the NFC phone game with a dual SIM handset. N-pass let us know that it has seen massive potential in NFC for sometime, and it has assembled a team of NFC experts to create NFC phones that work on both WCDMA and GSM MNOs the world over.

What is interesting about the direction the firm is taking is that the particular flavors of NFC, in what appears to be feature phones, support card emulation(SWPSIM,SSD), reader / writer mode with standard ISO14443A/B,Mifare, Tags and a mode they call P2P. We assume that to be Peer-to-Peer.

Multiple N-pass NFC smartphone and feature phones under development

N-pass says it has various models in development ranging from budget based dual SIM feature phones to full blown Android hero NFC phones. The first NFC phone from the company is set to be called the N100. It is said to run at the MSTAR 8533N platform, which lets us know it is a budget feature NFC phone. However, on the firm’s website they list the N200 NFC phone. There is also a M200 phone that features Android Gingerbread and some okay specifications. In total, we found three NFC phones on the N-pass website but details are a little light on the ground.

We have no idea when we might see some of these devices hot in the US or Europe, but a dedicated NFC smartphone manufacturer being built by a major Chinese brand should bring some interesting products to market. We do know that N-pass intends to support NFC payments in their technology, which adds an interesting twist to their product lineup.

On the N-pass website, they also have categories for NFC based tablets and POS devices, so we look forward to seeing these NFC phones as they become available globally.
