The WIMA NFC event is coming up this next week and UPM RFID is promising to show off some innovative NFC applications for the first time. The NFC applications will be based around the retail industry and highlight some of the great uses for NFC tags and how they are due to fit with NFC marketing and NFC services. If you don’t already know, UPM RFID is one of the biggest manufacturers and suppliers of NFC tags in the world.
Their product lines of NFC tags and inlays include the UPM BullsEye, UPM Circus and UPM MiniTrack. These NFC tags have become the core part of many services and NFC applications that include social media, location based services, games and toys, advertising and healthcare to name but a few.
UPM RFID will feature Narian Technologies suite of retail NFC applications at WIMA
The UPM RFID will also be participating panel discussions at WIMA dealing with NFC opportunities in the US, and how companies should proceed when they consider utilizing NFC technology and inlays in their business. What we know about UPM RFID is that they are involved with most major NFC developments somewhere in the chain and hold a position at the heart of this industry. Some of the NFC apps they will be showing off include Narian Technologies mobile apps, which we have reviewed before. These NFC apps for Android phones bring services to retail that enable customers to have better experiences and are not based in NFC payments.
If you get the chance, swing by UPM RFID’s WIMA booth (#23-24) and have a play with the apps. It seems that everyone we speak with is heading out to WIMA, which is being held on November 30 – December 1, 2011 at the Mission Bay Conference Centre in San Francisco. NFC Rumors will be there too, so if you would like to get together with us to tell us about your NFC project hit the contact us at the top of this page and we can set up some time. Tickets are still available for WIMA, so if you haven’t got yours yet, hit this link to come and see UPM RFID and other major NFC industry players all in one spot for the first WIMA USA NFC event.
