Nokia CES Press event hints at NFC and maybe tablets

Okay, the Nokia Press invitation just hit our inbox for CES hinting that the firm may well be unveiling some new devices that speak to the future of smart devices. Perhaps it is just fanciful thinking on our part, but we suspect that we may see some Windows Phone NFC devices. Espoo has also been rumored to be developing tablets, which could even turn out to be NFC tablets. At this time everything is pure speculation, however, we did catch wind of Nokia planning a wallet a couple of months ago and have since seen the Finnish titan of the mobile world launch a mobile payments program in India. Perhaps we may even learn something about that at CES.

Nokia CES Press Invitation doesn’t mention NFC or anything else

In case you can pull something from the invitation’s cryptic clues that is missing us at this time. We have included the image. We must say stunning demos sounds intriguing.

NFC Rumors we are hearing suggest that January is going to be a massive month for NFC with announcements due from multiple stakeholders. Nokia has released its first Windows Phone 7 devices without the technology on board, and probably want to address that as soon as possible so it doesn’t lose its edge in the NFC game. Either way, we only have a few weeks to find out what Espoo has in store and whether we find ourselves looking at NFC Windows Phone 7 devices and Nokia NFC tablets.
